The Eritrean Women's Community Center
The Eritrean Women’s Community Center (EWCC) is a grassroots initiative in Tel Aviv, developed and run by asylum seeker women from Eritrea. We offer language and computer courses as well as workshops on women’s health, worker’s rights and more. We provide culturally accessible services and assistance to over 200 women on a weekly basis.
We need your help to expand our services.
The EWCC hopes to launch a Support Phone Line that would allow hundreds more women to ask questions and share their stories in an anonymous and accessible way. This will benefit more isolated Eritrean women outside of Tel Aviv, and women who want information on culturally sensitive issues such as sexual health and domestic violence.
Through the Support Phone Line, hundreds more women in need of emotional, social, and psychological support, will have someone to call.
